SHIPPING RATES

Due to current world events, and exorbitant fuel costs, shipping costs have increased. We have kept our Shipping prices stable for the past 2 years, but are not certain of what may happen in the future.

SOS: Survival Optics and Newcon-Optiks, typically ship within 48 hours, and we primarily use UPS Ground Service for deliveries.

Please provide a Street Address to facilitate delivery, as UPS can not deliver to PO Boxes. Deliveries to PO Boxes are assessed an additional handling charge as shown below.


Shipping charges for orders with Standard Shipping instructions, with Street Addresses in the Continental USA, are calculated and displayed during checkout prior to placing your order, and, are based on the following guidelines:

With all retail purchases over $200.00! (Retail orders shipped to Street Addresses inside the USA only)

Standard Shipping $7.99 (USA Only)
Retail orders inside the USA only. Does not include Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands or any other US territory. Allow 2-3 Business days for delivery

Next Day Air rates to be quoted for approval prior to shipment.
Orders placed after 12:00 PM PDT (West Coast) on Thursdays will be delivered on the following Monday. Next Day deliveries are available for Retail orders shipped to USA Street Addresses only.

Second Day Air rates to be quoted for approval prior to shipment.
Orders placed after 12:00 PM PDT (West Coast)on Thursdays will be delivered on the following Tuesday. Second Day deliveries are available for Retail orders shipped to USA Street Addresses only.

APO, FPO & PO Boxes
Orders going to APO, FPO & PO Boxes are shipped via USPS Registered Mail. The cost is $13.50. Allow up to 30 days for delivery depending on the delivery location.

Canada Orders: Delivery rates to be quoted for approval prior to shipment
Applies to Retail orders inside Canada only... allow 7-10 Business days for delivery.

The cost for Express Shipping Rates to Canada to be quoted prior to delivery.

USPS Overseas Air Freight costs to be quoted prior to shipment.

Customs, Duties and Import Fees
You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches your country and must be paid upon delivery. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you the customer. We have no control over customs duties or import fees and cannot predict their cost. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.

Your satisfaction is the key to our success. We pride ourselves on the high percentage of our customers who return to buy additional Sunglasses after their initial purchase. We check every pair of Sunglasses we ship so that we can be certain you receive exactly what you ordered: A high quality, feature filled product at an affordable price.

If you are not completely satisfied with your selection, you may return your purchase, within 7 days after delivery.

You have 3 options

1) We'll replace them if they are damaged or defective

2) You can choose a different style (you pay the difference or we'll refund the difference in cost)

3) We'll give you a full refund (less shipping)

There are no hidden restocking fees. Your only cost is for shipping the glasses back to us.

To take advantage of this liberal return policy the following conditions must be met:
  • Merchandise must be returned in new condition and in the original manufacturer's packaging, along with a copy of your receipt which includes your order number
  • All originally included parts, cleaning cloths, cords and cases must be returned
  • Original manufacturer's guarantee cards, manuals and registration forms must be left blank
  • A Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained from SOS Eyewear® prior to shipping, and the RA Number written clearly on the outside of the shipping carton
  • Parcels received without a return authorization number will be refused and returned to sender.

  • Hi-Def Optics, LLC and WST Web Marketing LLC are not responsible for Returns or Guarantee requests for products purchased by third parties or distributors
  • Mail Returns To: HI-DEF Optics LLC, 1030 A Cindy Lane Carpinteria, CA 93013. Returns without a Return Authorization Number will be refused
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping charges. We recommend you ask your shipper for Insurance and a Tracking Number, as Hi-Def Optics, LLC can not be responsible for the returned item until it arrives at our warehouse

Lifetime Replacement Guarantee
Hi-Def Optics, LLC will, at their sole discretion, either repair or replace any defective or damaged Survival Optics Sunglasses®. You will be charged only a nominal $15.00 fee for Shipping and Handling for Sunglasses purchased in the United States, and $31.00 for Countries outside the United States.

For lenses that have been scratched by the owner due to negligence or mistreatment, an extra charge in the amount of $10.00 per pair of Tinted Polycarbonate Lenses and $15.00 per pair of Polarized or XLT Chromacoat Lenses will be assessed.

  • The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges. In the case of International shipments , all duties and taxes must be paid on the shipment. We recommend you ask your shipper for Insurance and a Tracking number, as Hi-Def Optics, LLC can not be responsible for the returned item until it arrives at our warehouse.
Newcon-Optiks Products(1) RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number must be obtained from NEWCON OPTIK prior to returning any product(s). All shipments without RMA will be rejected and sent back collect. (2) It is mandatory to return RMA product(s) together with the following:
RMA number.

Proof of purchase (a clear copy of the original invoice or receipt) must be included. 
-  All returned product(s) should be marked with specific problem(s) on a masking tape.
-  Please do not ship back accessories (i.e. straps, manuals, etc.) unless you are returning goods for a pre-authorized Credit. In this case, please include all accessories in the package.
Failure in fulfilling above said requirements and/or without specifying problem(s) of the returned product(s) will result in the product(s) being returned to sender freight collect plus a handling charge of $30.00. (3) All RMA shipments to NEWCON OPTIK must be pre-paid, with the RMA number clearly marked on the label/box. -  Collect shipments will not be accepted.
-  NEWCON OPTIK is not responsible for any loss/damage in transit.
(4) If points (1) to (3) are not fulfilled, our Service Department will not process the RMA and will return the RMA product(s) to the customers collect.
(5) If the returned merchandise is covered by manufacturer's warranty, NEWCON OPTIK will return the repaired/replaced product(s) to customers using ground service at our own expense. 
(6) When making inquiries, always refer to your RMA number.
(7) If some questions regarding warranty and non-warranty service persist before or after repair, NEWCON OPTIK will try to contact the customer by all known ways (telephone, fax, email, etc.). If the customer doesn't respond within 30 days, the product(s) will be destroyed.
(8) All RMA product(s) will be replaced or repaired at our discretion within the terms and limits of the manufacturer's warranty in the timeliest manner.
(9) Improper packaging, physical damage, or alteration of serial numbers will void all warranties.
(10) NEWCON OPTIK charges repair of customer abused and non-warranty items at flat service rate $45 US per hour (1 hour minimum) plus the cost of replaced parts. The customer is obligated to pay the pre-determined price prior to actual repair. If the customer prefers to receive his out of warranty products unrepaired, the handling fee of $30 US plus shipping cost will be applied. Unpaid articles will be destroyed after 30 days of storage (see point 7).
